STOUGH PTA FUN RUN IS NOV. 15!

This is the Stough PTA's largest fundraiser of the year and it involves the entire Stough  community. On November 15, all students take the playground loop at their designated time to run, walk and dance their laps to raise money for Stough PTA programs throughout the year. They are cheered on by friends and family standing on the sidelines and enjoy music, warm ups and goodies provided by Kicks Taekwondo. EACH student in the school, along with ALL staff, receive a Stough Fun Run T-shirt featuring our sponsors. This is one of our sweetest Stough Stallion traditions where our community comes together to show pride, support and gratitude for our school and our mission.

Reach out to friends, neighbors, family members and others in our community to ask for their support. This is our largest and most important fundraiser of the year and pays for things like the Positivity Project; Media Center Support; Cultural Arts Program; Supplies for Classrooms; Student Clubs; Spelling Bee; Teacher Development and so much more!

Get your STUDENTS involved - it is so sweet to hear them cheer at Fun Run when they learn how much money THEY raise for THEIR SCHOOL. Stough belongs to them and their knowing they play a part in making the programs they enjoy happen is so valuable. 

RETURN YOUR DONATION ENVELOPES OR DONATE ONLINE!

Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 12 we hold daily prize drawings for each grade level. Students bringing in a donation of ANY AMOUNT are eligible. Share this quick and easy online donation link with your family and friends! Students can also submit cash or check donations by returning the white envelopes to their teacher. 

FUN RUN FRIDAY!

Please send your child to school on Friday Nov. 15 in comfortable clothes, tennis shoes and a refillable water bottle. Each student (and all staff members) will receive a free Fun Run T-Shirt and Stough prize pack courtesy of Kicks Taekwondo. 

Students take to the playground during their grade level session. We begin with a warm-up session followed by fifteen minutes of running, walking or dancing around the playground loop. Students will then enjoy iceypops, a dance party and games before heading back to their classrooms.

This event is about the strength of our school and all we can do when we partner together. There are MANY ways to support our students! 

TALK TO YOUR STUDENTS 

• Talk to your students about the importance of exercise, movement and help them get excited about a day of fun and celebration. 
• Emphasize that our school belongs to us ALL and how each of us contributes to our school community  - whether bringing in donations, picking up a stray wrapper on the playground or smiling at a fellow Stallion in the hallway - we are special because of each of our people.
